Suede Care, Simplified

Suede has a reputation for being fussy. It isn't — it just wants to be treated like the natural material it is, not like polished leather.

A soft suede brush, used in short strokes after each wear, keeps the nap standing up and lifts away dust before it settles in. For anything more stubborn, a suede eraser handles scuffs without leaving a mark.

The one real rule: keep it dry. Water is suede's only real enemy, so a quick spray of a proper suede protector before the first wear goes a long way, especially heading into wetter months.

Do that much, and a good pair of suede loafers will outlast almost anything else in your closet.
